About

Process = Story

+ I'm Chris. I'm a dad, a storyteller, a 2003 graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and a Veteran (Captain) of the United States Army. I have chosen the visual medium of photography as my vehicle for storytelling. I also write stories instigated by my photos - creating photo essays or, if you will, comic books. I am available for one-off shoots, long-term projects & 1-on-1 workshops.

education: West Point - 2003
major: Art, Philosophy & Literature

+ I love it when people allow me to document their life, unguarded. I feel a great responsibility to portray them in a way that accurately reflects who they are and what their PROCESS entails.

clients: ESPN, ESPNChicago, Nike, Playboy, Chicago Cubs Camps, U.S. Army, Career Builder, Groupon, GEM Reality Capital, Enterprise Events Group, Montini Catholic High School, Marist High School, Naperville North High School, Lambda Legal, Shaw Media, Suburban Life Newspaper, Suburban Life Magazine, Chicago Tribune, Carolina Sports Inc, The Free Times.

+ As a photographer, my PROCESS is shoot first & make sense of it later. It's a wonderful feeling to have developed relationships because of my skill with a camera. But I strive to be more than a button pusher. I rely on my vision, skill & life experience to craft a story. We humans are hard-wired for story and its a great way to connect. Stories help us to be understood and stories help us to understand.

+ A successful story is a combination of authority, emotion and logic with a purpose to inspire, inform and/or delight. You've got a story, Whether the end state is awareness, fundraising, sales or for fun...let me help you tell that story.
